Mt. Waterman Ski Resort

Mt. Waterman Ski Resort offers a place in winter for Californians to downhill and Nordic ski. In autumn the fall colors draw in visitors to La Canada. During other times of the year hiking and walking are offered at the resort. The resort is open all year round to accommodate guests who wish a weekend getaway or a trip to the area. Operating days for the ski season include Saturdays and Sundays at $50 per adult for lift tickets. Mid week is slightly less, and a half day ticket is $40 for adults. The lift is only open when they have enough sun, which also means the rest rooms located at the top of the lifts are closed.

However, the lodge is always open and food service is available during the season for lunch only. Scenic rides, when the site is open, are $10. At other times of the year the lift can be open for mountain biking, scenic rides, and hiking. Mt. Waterman Ski Resort is unlike some of the big companies in California and other parts of the US. It is a small operation with just a couple of ski lifts, which are certified each year.
