Northstar at Tahoe Mountain Bike Park

An outdoor adventure resort that opens for mountain biking during summer months, Northstar at Tahoe Mountain Bike Park features excellent scenery and plenty of exciting trails. The resort is located a few miles north of Kings Beach (on the north end of Lake Tahoe).

The park also includes a bike shop with rentals, equipment, clothing, maps, repairs, lift rides, and guided nature hikes. The resort has numerous mountain biking trails. Picnic in the Meadow is a leisurely biking trail that measures three miles round trip. Secluded Mountain Lake is steeper and has great scenery. It measures just over nine miles round trip. Meander is another popular trail that features intermediate terrain. Northstar at Tahoe Mountain Bike Park also features a Dirt Camp, which is a two-day instructional camp that teaches everything from basics to advanced technique.

Spectators can also enjoy fun races every Thursday night at the resort. The resort opens for mountain biking during summer months, generally from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Northstar at Tahoe Mountain Bike Park is located about 40 minutes by car southwest of Reno, NV and 15 miles north of Lake Tahoe. Visitors can enjoy other nearby tourist attractions: Donner Memorial State Park, Emigrant Trail Museum, Donner Lake, and historic downtown Truckee.
