Robert Mondavi Winery

Robert Mondavi Winery is located at St Helena Highway in Oakville, Napa Valley, California. Founded in 1966 the winery produces a wide variety of wines including Fume Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This was one of the first wineries in Napa Valley to offer tastings, tours, events and concerts to members of the public.

The winery is open to the public from 10am to 5pm each day of the week but remains closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Several tours are offered here including the main one which lasts 75 minutes and takes visitors around the vineyard, the cellars and concludes with some wine tasting. Some tours conclude in the Vineyard Room with lunches or specialty food and wine tasting.

From 10am each day there are educational programs provided, teaching guests how to read wine labels as well as smell, taste and describe the wine. Concerts and other events are regularly held in the open air setting here including a summer music festival, which has attracted well known names such as Ella Fitzgerald and Dave Brubeck. The Vineyard Room has hosts many art exhibitions too that showcase the work of local photographers, sculptors and painters.
