Sacramento Memorial Auditorium


Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is located at J street in Sacramento, California and is approximately 20 minutes from Sacramento International Airport. The auditorium is part of the Sacramento Convention Center Complex and is just blocks away from the Amtrak station and is easily accessed via bus and light rail. Since it opened in 1927 this venue has hosted many events including Big Band concerts, violin virtuosos and rock concerts by world famous bands such as The Rolling Stones and The Beach Boys.

The venue not only hosts music events but also comedy, sport, meeting, conferences, banquets, receptions and speaking engagements. The total capacity of the auditorium is just shy of 4,000 with seating on the floor, dress circle, first and second balconies. There are also accessible seating areas for wheelchair users in the dress circle.

At the auditorium there are memorial plaques commemorating the lives lost of soldiers in the Second World War, Korean War and Vietnam War. Also found at the Convention Center Complex are two theaters providing shows ranging from Broadway Musicals to local performing art groups. The box office is located in the lobby of the Community Center Theater, where guests can purchase tickets Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm for all events held here.
