Westside Regional Park

Westside Regional Park is known for its mountain bike trail in Jacksonville, Florida. The trail is two miles long with a single track tread requirement. The park trail is a loop and set up for beginners. The trail is not always clearly marked throughout the run, and there are some side trails one can take. The parking area begins the mountain bike trail. As one rides along there are some muddy sections and it is not very technical. The bike trail was manmade to provide residents with a place to mountain bike in an otherwise flat state.

Westside Regional Park can be used for more than just mountain bike riding. There are other trails for hikers to take into the woods. It is important to stay on the trails given the natural wildlife that can be in the area. Picnicking near the parking area is permitted. There is no fee for entering the park and it is open 24 hours a day. However, the mountain biking trail is not lighted, thus riders should visit from dawn to dusk to avoid any injury unless they have lights on their bikes. Westside Regional Park is just one of the Jacksonville Parks.
