We were up at UAB for medical issues. We were there for about a week. I just have to say that for a large city, Birmingham is great. I didn't have one bad experience the whole time we were there. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I explored the area around UAB and am very impressed. I can only compare my experience to travels to Toronto and Ottawa Canada. And believe me, that's high praise indeed.
