We'll see how my recent experience pans out but I recently lost EasyPay Metrocard (never have lost metrocards) when I switched temporarily to a monthly unlimited. I kept the EasyPay Metrocard in my wallet for other occasions and it must have slipped out at some point and I didn't notice it. Somebody else noticed it and was taking 7 rides a day.
