I've set a goal for myself of being able to do 150 push ups in good form, with a full range of motion, on my knuckles, within a ten minute time limit doing sets of 10 between rest periods. Today, Monday 5/28/2018 I did 117 push ups in that 10 minute period. To achieve 150 push ups in that time frame will require progressively shortening the rest period between sets. I don't anticipate much difficulty attaining the goal.
This is going to be a lot easier and quicker than I thought.
I just did 143 push ups in the 10 minute time limit (I'm sure of the count), doing 10 at a time and resting about 25 seconds between sets except on a couple of sets where I rested 30 seconds. The difference today is that I did them in the morning before doing shoulders which I usually do before doing any chest work which is usually done in the afternoon.
Seven more reps and I'll have reached my goal of 150 push ups in 10 minutes.
I only managed to get 133 push ups today within the 10 minute time limit.
I cut my rest period between the first six sets of 10 reps to 20 seconds. This left me unable to recover enough to do the remaining reps as quickly and I had to rest between 25 and 30 seconds between the remaining sets.
Thank you. What I'm working on right now is trying to reach the point where I can do 100 consecutive, non-stop push ups with good form, and full range of motion.
