Climate, of course, is a global issue: if Europe reduces its emissions to zero, while the rest of the world continues to increase them, the effect on the climate will be zero. Without DE’s WWII, UK/France could have maintained many of their colonies and collected free taxes worldwide to sustain the higher class living for their citizens. So yes, what DE did 80 years ago definitely has a long lasting adverse impact on some Europeans.
