this is the only site I could think of where folks might be old enough to remember this little jingle. I can't remember some words so hope you will fill me in. I was singing this in september to my grandkids and now they want to know the missing words too.

School bells ring and children sing
It's back to Robert Hall again
Mother knows for better clothes
It's back to Robert Hall again
la la la la la la la
Back to Robert Hall again.

it's driving me crazy. please help

I googled Robert Hall and actually found the song.. It's not like I don't have anything else to do today with 11 people coming for dinner. Escape anyone???

School bells ring and children sing,
“It’s back to Robert Hall again.”
Mother knows for better clothes,
It’s back to Robert Hall again.
You’ll save more on clothes for school.
Shop at Robert Hall.

We used to go to Robert Hall on a regular basis in Wichita, Kansas back in the late 50s-early 60s. I had the most wonderful white "leatherette" car coat with a fake black fur collar and lapels. LOL.

I thought I was just the cutest preteen around in that coat. I had not thought of Robert Hall in years. Thanks for the memory.

I'm old enough to remember the jingle. We had a Robert Hall store in BayRidge, Brooklyn. They sold a lot of cheap clothing.

Ugh...Robert Hall...my first exposure to the Husky Boys Dept! Somehow they gave fat boys a way to feel tough...by calling them husky.

We didn't have a Robert Hall Store in our area I am sorry I can't help you ... but I sure remember Buster Brown shoes! The store had this fluoroscope thing you stood on it. "I'm Buster Brown I live in a shoe. That's my dog Tige! He lives there, too!" Good luck I hope you find the jingle or song.

I searched Excite ... they have this:

School bells ring and children sing,
“It’s back to Robert Hall again.”
Mother knows for better clothes,
It’s back to Robert Hall again.
You’ll save more on clothes for school.
Shop at Robert Hall.

Was that fluoroscope thing an X-Ray machine? We had a shoe store that X-Rayed people's feet. You could see the bones in your feet---not a good thing to do. My mother never let us do it and I am so glad she didn't now.
