A small group of BCBAs (ABA Therapists) are wanting to meet monthly to discuss ways on how to provide effective services to our community, collaboratively. We do things out of our own pocket. As a result, renting a hotel meeting room isn't ideal for just a meeting. Does anyone know of a restaurant that has a back room or small enough that would be happy to see us once a month as we discuss our field and how to benefit the Autism community/families?
Outside of Panera (too busy and can get crowded) and Starbucks. I love Andrea's Italian in Newport News as it can seat 30 for $25 which is refundable. But I want something on the VAB side, preferably in Chesapeake.

Some libraries have community rooms you can rent.

I am not sure if it is ideal - but what about a church? Some would love to give a space for free if it is about helping people.

If you are thinking of restaurants because you purchase food and drinks, Brick Anchor in Norfolk has a large tasting room upstairs that is free to use.

If any of the members live in an HOA or condo community, they often have a room residents can use or rent for cheap.

Elks, American Legion, other service orgs often have halls or meeting places that are avialable when not in use by the core group.
Some museums have rooms as well.
It also sounds like one of the community service board would be happy to provide you space as it lines up with their mission.
