Is there anyone who has experience with Omada Health?

My employer-sponsored health insurance plan has this available as an included benefit.

I'm concerned about privacy and any flow-back of information to the employer.

Also- there seems to be group sessions with members of the group having access to some of my personal information. Anyone experience this?

"What personal information will be shared with my group as part of the Diabetes, Hypertension, and Prevention programs?

Your small group members will have access to limited information about you as you go through the Omada program together. Group members can see each others' photo (if you choose to upload one), first name, and hometown, and they can read the introduction note you write. Concerning your progress through the program, your group can see when you last logged in, your lesson completion progress, your individual posts to the group board, and a progress bar that measures your weight loss as a percentage (without sharing your actual weight)."

Never heard of it, but not for me. I don't share personal info with anyone except family and doctors (only where/if needed)

I used Omada for learning how to control my weight. It worked very well. The only personal information revealed to others is exactly what they said. You can choose to reveal more about yourself in the group chats but it's entirely up to you.

The basic idea is that if you join a group with a common goal and have a moderator to provide direction you will more likely achieve that goal. Achieving success in long term weight control is very difficult.

I think you will improve the probability of success if you join.
