I haven't tried it, but if the posts and comments I've seen on Nextdoor are any indication, it's the same old discussion.

1. 50/50 split in the whole In-and-Out vs. Whataburger debate.
1a. Whataburger is now terrible since they sold out.
1b.Both In-and-Out and Whataburger are terrible, as is all fast food.

The only useful thing I've been able to glean about the Webster location is that there's a lot of traffic in that general area from the new HEB, so keep that in mind. I've also heard that the service is pretty good (on par with a typical Chick-fil-a or Cane's) since the volume is so high.

I've heard they (In and Out) print bible verses on various hidden places on their cups. Other than that, I have never even seen a In and Out in Houston yet.

Webster = the 6th one.

I've been to the one on Katy-Fort Bend Rd just north of I-10, the one on the perimeter of Willowbrook Mall, and the one on the perimeter of The Woodlands Mall.

I knew about the one in Stafford, but I haven't been there.

I didn't know about the one near Mason Rd & 290 until just seeing it on their site, and I didn't know about Webster until seeing this thread.

So, there is not one single, In and Out, inside the Beltway?

They aren’t “hidden” unless you call the bottom of the container hidden.

I never understood the hype around the place, but many people seem to like it. I found the fries lackluster and the burger nothing to write home about. For burgers, I much prefer Shake Shack.

Why would I drive to an In-N-Out location when I can walk to a Burger Joint? I wouldn't mind a Culver's nearby, though.

In n Out is not a direct competitor of Whataburger. In 'n Out is more like P-Terry's than Whataburger. I consider P-Terry's to be the Texas version of In 'n Out. Similar limited menus featuring not many choices beyond burgers, fries and drinks. Both are easy to get burned out on.
