Crossing Bridges from Maryville to Knoxville (construction, shop, moving to)

Hi,

I'm seriously considering moving to an area around Knoxville from another state (NY). I haven't been to TN yet, so I'm asking for input here.

If I move to Maryville, and want to get into Knoxville, how easy is it to cross the bridges? I guess I'm referring to traffic on the bridges and how easy or how long it takes to get into Knoxville from across the river. Also, are there tolls to cross the bridges?

As an aside, I have noticed that some people answering questions are very nice and helpful. I want to thank them! But some people are nasty, for example saying: "You clearly don't know the area." Well, of course I don't know the area. I'm from another state. I'm here trying to get information. So, I appreciate whatever information you can give me. If someone were to ask me questions about Queens, NY, I could answer them, and not be nasty. For example, I could certainly tell you about crossing bridges from Queens to get into Manhattan!

Bridges are free. You'll most likely use the Hwy 129 bridge. There's construction along this road now but it will hopefully be done before you get here.

Pellissippi parkway bridge will take you to the shopping in west Knoxville. It's a beautiful road that flows smoothly unless there's a wreck.
