Citations please. I would NOT say childless people "are more social" or suffer less social
anxiety. Those are pretty simplistic statements. I'd suspect it is a lot more nuanced that that. I can imagine someone who has chosen not to have kids might be someone who's less socially needy. That's a different thing. I did a quick search (so take that FWIW) and found this study:

Speaking only for myself, I am peacefully childless. On a day to day basis I'm not too socially inclined but I wouldn't describe myself as socially anxious. Just kind of take it or leave it. I know I'm an introvert which basically means my emotional batteries get their recharge from spending time alone instead of being around others. It does
not mean I am anti-social, lonely, socially anxious, or a recluse. By contrast, an extrovert tends to get their energy from spending time with others.
