Doing a layover for 2 days in Sep/Oct timeframe. Is downtown a good location for hotels/dining? Is Uber/Lyft convenient in Pensacola? What time do Uber/Lyft or taxis shut down for the night? Also looking at Pensacola Beach area for hotels but I already live near the beach so not sure if that would be interesting. Not really sightseeing, mainly meeting some old friends for drinks, dinner a good cigar Thanks for any input.

Not sure about hotels, but downtown definitely has good dining/drinking options. Tons of restaurants and bars/pubs.
