Well the last time I posted on this board was 2016 when I lived in Boston, MA and was looking into moving to Boulder City, NV…

This board, the good, the bad and the ugly is a wonderful resource to have. I have learned so much from level headed people on this forum.

Now it’s Boulder City to St George UT…..

We own a cabin in Duck Creek and my wife’s Mom is in Washington, so it just made sense….

Wish me luck!!

Goldwingin

I just want to give out a big THANK YOU to the “warm” welcome to my recent post…. It truly warms my “heart” to hear from like minded folks to welcome me into the community. I have learned expectations will met when I finally move there. I am looking forward to meeting new people and having a less “Vegas” vibe….

Once again thank you all for welcoming me and I will look forward to posting again….

Lovingly,

Goldwingin….

I am just west of Boston, rented in Gilbert AZ last year, but love UT. AZ prices are out of control, so I might be visiting STG soon!

I am considering moving to St. George myself. I am really dismayed after a year in NV and Casino focused/Industry.

You would love it. So beautiful. I owned and rented a house there in Coral Canyon for 6 years. Decided to not live there and stay in Cedar City (42 miles north). the heat is not something I can deal with, but if you lived in NV you would be used to it.

I really would like a warmer winter generally, but I think this is a decent match for my needs come spring including a program at Dixie State. I am in a strange educational need place wishing to get specific 4-10 more courses to better qualify for an online grad program in the near future. I am going to show up before spring to see the school and look around.

Baloney. You have no idea what you are doing. Tucson, Henderson, Reno, Carson City, Elko, Mesquite, now St George. What's next?

I find the local online news site frustrating because I don't belong to Facebook and therefore can't read any but one of the comments written by locals, whereas the news site itself doesn't accept comments either. Maybe somebody can point me to a different local news site that does allow public comments. I didn't name the site I'm using, but I can if necessary.

We're considering St. G too, but I'm finding precious little info on any 55+ Active Adult communities there, which we are interested in since we will be coming in cold (no friends or family there). We don't want to just drop ourselves into any old neighborhood since we've had little success meeting others our age in conventional neighborhoods. We'd prefer to be embedded with others in the 50-70 age range which these specific communities offer. Toll Bros was supposed to break ground there but it seems still on the drawing board. Any suggestions or is St. G lacking in this type of development?

Just curious, what's the attraction there? I've been there once and wasn't particularly impressed. It's very cold in winter and vary hot in summer. . . Prices are low for a reason.
