I've had a bunch of individual pieces listed on Craigslist, Offerup, Nextdoor and Facebook Marketplace for weeks and despite being only a tiny fraction of what they're all worth, I am out of time. Is there some sort of place in this area that buys furniture from an estate all at once rather than one at a time?

Northeast Pinellas County if that matters.

Thanks.

Hello, Trixie. I do not have an answer for your question but was wanting to offer some sort of support. I read some of your past posts and it seems you were a caregiver to both your mother and your father in the last 2-3 years. I sincerely hope you have found some help in your situation and are in a better emotional place.

I just wanted to wish you well and all the best!

Some auction houses will take it all on consignment and after subtracting all their inflated costs will pay you a small amount. They will auction it off cheap. It might be just as easy to have a thrift store pick it all up.

I agree. If the furniture is not antique or very high end, I can't think of anyone who will pay for a houseful. Choices are to hire an estate sale company (which I did one time) they set the prices sell it off and give you a percentage, then donate the rest. When my dad passed, I just had Salvation Army come and pick it all up. Not worth messing with.

Good luck!

Also consider calling the hospice folks that run thrift stores to fund the care they offer:

Mother-in-law's neighbor's house got cleaned out by them, as I recall.

Good luck. Sounds like you're finally closing the book on this chapter. Good luck and Godspeed!
