We've been looking at a older home it's an 88 Palm Harbor double-wide in a 55 and overpark very well cared for, it passed a four-point inspection.

The plumbing is original to the home I wonder if that's anything to worry about ??

I don't want a PVC pipe to burst.

The roof 4 years old The carpeting is new, The appliances are new. The air conditioning unit was replaced 2 weeks ago with a brand new one. We still have a few days that we can back out

I want to make a smart decision and buying an older home has me a little nervous, although this one looks to be in very good shape.

At the end of the day it is a 25 year old trailer home in Florida. What is a four point inspection?

The four point inspection is required in Florida to get insurance. They check the electrical, plumbing, heating and Roof. If there are any issues that Are severe, they won't ensure the home

This particular one passed the inspection

Yes, again. The other house did not pan out. The seller was way too unreasonable. So we found another one that we like a lot. We're going to be closing on it in a month. I just have to decide whether I'm going to be comfortable with. the plumbing, Although it passed inspection, it's still original to the house

It sure does. I just wonder what the life expectancy is of what this house currently has.

If the plumbing is original, you may want to check with your insurance. The park I had relatives in featured homes from the late 80s/early 90s, and the insurance companies would not insure pipes that were older than 30 years. Typical repipe was roughly $2500-$3000.

The roof is key, but you're good there. Same with the A/C.

The only other thing I would have checked is the electrical panel.

They checked all that. The electrical panel checked out fine. And the plumbing checked out fine.but it's PVC. And it is original to the house. So I'll probably change it out, maybe next year. I'm just leery if I buy this, that it could leak on us, because it's 40 years old. Will be closing in about three weeks.

I'm going to continue to look to see if I can find something better, but I don't think I will. This house looks very nice. This lady took very good care of it.
