I am a vegetarian since birth, but do not eat eggs. I do take in some dairy products. I don't like raw vegetables except in smoothie along with fruits. My fav breakfast is boiled sweet potatoes sauteed in a teaspoon oil and seasoned with some chili flakes. This also helps me to loose weight because of it's high fiber content. But I do get of eating sweet potatoes daily.
Am looking for some other ideas for breakfast which has least processed items in it, since I am looking on losing weight.
Typically, I have half a grapefruit, oatmeal made with soy milk, peanut powder, flaxmeal, and a handful of berries. If I need a change of pace, I have whole grain toast with peanut butter, half a grapefruit and whatever other fruit I have on hand.
I eat musli every day too with almond milk. Trader joes does a good one but even the brand I get at my local supermarket is good too. If I didn't have a full time job, a part time job and three children - I might even attempt to make my own!!
I don't eat much breakfast food (I work night shift and just eat regular food early) but occasionally a granola cereal or Cliff bar+coffee, or, if I want to cook a "breakfast", tofu scramble with nutritional yeast flakes, black pepper and whatever vegetable I want to throw in (corn & zucchini work well).
I eat a lot of eggs, and I eat a lot of oatmeal, to which I add peanut butter and a banana and cinnamon and maple syrup.
