Interested in the Lake Anna area. Can anyone provide any insight in to the politics in these two counties? Parties, demographics, etc.. Also curious about the school boards. Doesn't look like either two counties publish party affiliation for the school board members.

I know VA can be hit and miss, politically. I'm looking for conservative politics, and hoping that I will find that in either or both counties.

If my estranged family member is any clue (as well as their friends) - pretty much Trumpers

The entire General Assembly (House of Delegates and Senate) was up last year for election. Find the party affiliation of those elected by using the map in the link and then looking it up with a search.

For example, by clicking on Louisa County, Senate District 10, then googling it, the Senator, party and demographics is found. https://www.elections.virginia.gov/c...teractive-map/

For school boards, find the members and then google them. Under Virginia Code §22.1-57.3(E), school board candidates do not have a party affiliation on the ballot. Another option is to call the county's GOP and ask them which of their party members are on the board; they are permitted to release that.

Agree with the above comment of heavy Trumpers. Can’t speak much for Louisa County school board. As for Spotsylvania, just google Spotsylvania County Va school board controversies and you will find a LOT. Now, after the last election the board has changed and hopefully common sense will prevail. They were just installed so maybe their board meetings will not be shouting matches and hopefully they will even start providing minutes again of their meetings. Roberts Rules of Order was not well known for some of the prior members.
