Traffic is really bad during season. We like going to Palm Beach on Sundays. Parking is plentiful and free by Worth Ave on Sundays when the stores are close. The beach is beautiful and it's quieter and more low-key.

Delray is a “see and be seen” place now…I personally love it, but I’m in my 30s. If you’re looking for a peaceful and serene beach, Delray is certainly not it. Juno Beach off US-1 is great, and even Palm Beach as suggested, but you have to pay to park in the parallel spots.

I remember when all the parking in Delray was free. Now it's all metered. Your choices are basically the street parking next to the beach or if you are willing to walk you can usually find parking in the big parking lots or street parking on Atlantic. I use to go there during the week for happy hour all the time... ever since covid it has become unbearable. It's like the snow birds never left now.

I park at the large Tennis venue, and walk. I have a beach chair/cooler that has back straps, & a clamp on umbrella I carry.

I fold my beach towell up into the chair. I put beverages into Koozie's to keep them cold and avoid ice.

It is a long walk, but unless I arrive before 9 am, I have no choice.

Uber'ing in is another choice.

Great beach, once they started charging for parking my Delray Beach visits were less and less. My favorite restaurant was 32 East and that has since been turned into a bad chain restaurant.
