"impact" as a verb.
I was taught in journalism school that "impact" is only used as a verb to refer to teeth, as in "His wisdom teeth are impacted."
It's not to be used in place of "affected." For example: "The number of snow days affected the length of the school year"; NOT "The number of snow days impacted the length of the school year."
