An inspection was made with the Pubic Health nurses (2) due to the confirmed cases of shigella in the daycare. This daycare was opened before March 2010 and no food safety training or certificate is required. There were a few questions the PIC could not answer related to food safety related to food temps.
overall the kitchen was quite clean and well managed. There is currently no employee illness log maintained.
The employee illness log that is utilized in the food safety class was explained and left with the center to use. The food safety classes were discussed about holding them onsite.

Facility serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. No leftovers are kept or cooled at the end of the day; everything is discarded.
