Shigella outbreak consultation with nurse Lauren- Gave information about the disease.
Do not use handwashing sinks for anything else except for handwashing. Example: laying toys and objects such as paint brushes in them.
Water in handsinks should be 100F at least. All handsinks need to meet this.
Facility has "family style" meals and children give out silverware, plates, cup etc. This is a source of contamination for these items. I will discuss the scenariio with supervisors and get back to the facility on the findings.
