THIS DAYCARE FACILITY HAS BEEN LISTED AS A CENTER THAT HAD CONFIRMED CASES OF SHIGELLA. fOR THAT REASON AN INSPECTION/CONSULT OF THE CENTER WAS CONDUCTED WITH THE PIC IN THE KITCHEN (MICHELLE) AND THE ACTING DIRECTOR (JJ). LUNCH WAS BEING PREPARED AS THE PIC (MICHELLE) WAS ASK QUESTIONS CONCERNING DUTIES, SOP'S, SANITIZER USAGE, COOKING TEMPERATURES, COOKING AND EMPLOYEE ILLNESS LOGS AND GENERAL SANITATION PROCEEDURES. MICHELLE INDICATED THAT SHE HAS NOT ATTENDED A FOOD SAFETY EDUCATION CLASS. THERE WERE SEVERAL FOOD SAFETY EDUCATION CERTIFICATES HANGING IN THE KITCHEN BUT THOSE (OR THAT) INDIVIDUAL NO LONGER WORKS AT THE DAYCARE. I SUGGEST THAT THE PIC IN THE KITCHEN (MICHELLE) ATTEND A FOOD SAFETY EDUCATION CLASS.
AFTER TALKING TO JJ (DIRECTOR)ABOUT EMPLOYEE HEALTH /SICKNESS AND SOP'S CONCERNING THE CENTER, NO EMPLOYEE HEALTH LOGS ARE MAINTAINED.
A COPY OF THE FOOD CODE CONCERNING EMPLOYEE HEALTH, A COPY OF AN EMPLOYEE ILLNESS LOG, AND A COPY OF INFO ON HIPPA WAS LEFT WITH JJ THE DIRECTOR.
IF A STAFF MEETING IS HELD I WPULD BE GLAD TO ATTEND AND OFFER A SHORT SESSION ON A HEALTH TOPIC

SPOKE WITH THE DAYCARE DIRECTOR ABOUT EMPLOREE ILLNESS, HIPPA, AND KEEPING AN EMPLOYEE ILLNESS LOG. ALSO WAITED FOR THE PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE TO COMPLETE HER TIME WITH THE STAFF I TALKED TO. FAMILY STYLE SERVING OCCURES IN THIS CENTER.
