Description: Have you ever dreamed of stomping grapes? (Anyone remember I Love Lucy episode 150?) Your dream will come true at the Elgin wine festival, where the grape-stomping competition is only one of many activities. The festivities go on for 2 days in early April and include wine tastings, lunch, music, and arts and crafts. Elgin is about 90 minutes south of Tucson. Take I-10 to exit 281, go south, and turn left onto Elgin Road. The winery is about 4 miles on the right. There is an admission fee, which gets you entrance into the grape-stomping competition and a souvenir wineglass.
