Description: It’s not at all fancy—in fact, it’s just a step above a taco stand—but this south-side favorite offers an extensive menu of home-style Sonoran dishes, from giant burros and overstuffed tacos to menudo (served Sat and Sun only). Order at the window and serve yourself condiments (lime wedges, cucumbers, shredded cabbage, salsas, and hot sauces). Open daily until midnight for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This area is somewhat isolated and can be intimidating at night, so consider breakfast or lunch for your first visit. There are two other locations in town, but they have none of the charm of the original.
