Description: More than a campground, Riverbend is a treasure. The 160 campsites bring overnight guests here, but many come just for the day to pan for minerals and gems in the outdoor sluice. There are trailer, camper, and cabin rentals in addition to the sites, for those who don’t like sleeping on the ground. The amenities include hot showers and laundry facilities, though perhaps you’ll just want to jump in one of two heated pools. They also have canoe rentals, a kiddie train, basketball, volleyball, a moon bounce (seriously), miniature golf, paddleboats, and aquacycles, all for peanuts. Like many family campgrounds, they have activities like bingo, outdoor movies, and other special events. For those who want privacy, site 101 is the most secluded, but now that it’s in this guide, it’s probably going to fill up quickly.
