Category: Restaurants
Telephone: (860) 749-2256
Address: 585 Main St.

Description: Although there is no longer lodging at the Somers Inn, they have been in business since 1769, and today feature American food with an emphasis on seafood and hearty fare. Scallops, lobster, steak, ribs, veal, duck, stuffed pork chops—these are the classics that the Somers does, and does well. Try the lobster bisque or the calves’ liver for decadent richness. The Boggio family has run the inn since 1978, and the owners greet each guest and make sure you are satisfied with your meal. If you like large portions and plenty of sides, you certainly will be. This place is very popular among locals and fills up quick; make reservations if you can.
