Description: Though Caffeine’s Cafe was started in 2007, it’s only been in its current Unionville location since 2009. However, it has quickly become the popular new kid on the block, appealing to locals and to visitors to the Farmington Valley. Unlike most diners, the cafe keeps its menu small, to do each thing better, from buttermilk pancakes to a Monte Cristo sandwich. Of course, they do have a large selection of teas, and all the espresso-based drinks you could want. Caffeine’s Cafe has dinner, too, with some nice touches like the shrimp mac and cheese. But a coffee joint is a coffee joint, and their specialty is breakfast and lunch. Make this your morning stop before a canoe trip on the river or a hike on the Tunxis Trail.
