Description: The Tuller family has been farming in West Simsbury since 1768, and like many farms in Connecticut, has diversified extensively. They have cattle, vegetables, and an ice-cream store, which they began in 1994. From mid-Apr through Oct, you can stop by from noon until sunset. You can shop at their farm store for their own produce, like lettuce, arugula, chard, tatsoi, basil, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, scallions, broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, sweet corn, squashes, zucchini, cucumbers, green beans, and eggplant, as well as their grass-fed beef. They also carry the products of other local farms, like milk, honey, maple syrup, bread, salsa, chips, pesto, goat’s cheese, fudge, tomato sauce, bruschetta, and Nodine’s Smokehouse meat. And, of course, you can try one of their 50 flavors of award-winning 16 percent butterfat ice cream, the most popular of which is red raspberry with chocolate chips.
