City: Bal Harbour, FL
Category: Accommodations
Telephone: (305) 455-5400

Description: Each of the 124 rooms and suites at this hotel have balconies with views of the Atlantic Ocean—there are only 2 rooms per floor so each room has ultimate privacy and space. In room-perks including a 42" flat-screen television and surround sound are nice but it’s the additional amenities that really top it off. A spa, personal shoppers, butler service, and luxury car and private yacht service or jet charters are available.

2. Haulover Beach Park

City: Bal Harbour, FL
Category: Parks & Recreation
Telephone: (305) 944-3040
Address: 10800 Collins Ave.

Description: Haulover Beach is the city’s token nude beach, so beware before you go. Generally it’s European-style (in other words, tasteful) nudity, but do consider before going with kids or those uncomfortable with it. Picnics are another popular pastime and there is plenty of dry space for blankets. Though clothing is optional, there are visitors who chose to remain in their bathing suits. The beach’s reputation, however, draws people from all over the country and even the world, so expect that most people tend to go au natural. Even the Miami-Dade County government fully recognizes and supports the beach.

3. Haulover Beach Park

Category: Parks & Recreation
Telephone: (305) 944-3040

Description: Some of the city’s best shoreline fishing can be found at this 180-acre park. The fishing docks serve as a historical marker that is dedicated to the dock’s first charter boat captains. The nearby marina is still a popular departure for fishing charters so a bait and tackle shop can be found on site.
