Description: This club has always been popular. But, thanks in part to a recent top-to-bottom renovation, it’s even more so. There’s a new look and feel to the place, with new decor and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. With plush sofas and long tables, purplish walls filled with eye-catching pop art, plenty of room to dance, private nooks and crannies, another room in which the furniture and walls are bathed in orange, and a beautiful VIP area, you’ll feel the vibe the moment you walk in. There’s even a touch of Oriental here or there—a Buddha here, lanterns there, as seems to be the rage these days.Owner Tommy Finneran tried to achieve a South Beach-hotel type of look, one in which there would be “no sneakers.” And even a quick look around the club and the patrons will tell you that he’s succeeded handsomely. This place, too, is a celebrity-magnet, and people such as RuPaul, actress Lorraine Bracco, popular band Danity Kane, and celebrity DJ Irie have all partied here.Special events are always happening. One of them is HIP Wednesdays, where you’ve got to be dressed to kill or outside-you’ll-be-waiting-still. (This is one of the best nights for celebrity-watching.) Ladies Night is every Thurs. There’s also a monthly Burlesque Party with dancers and body painting.
