Description: One of the largest riding stables in South Florida, Bar-B-Ranch offers a variety of horse-related activities including both English- and Western-style horseback riding lessons. Lessons are available throughout the week and in the morning on weekends. An hour-long lesson on either style costs $50. Trail rides through the historic 160-acre Robbins Open Space Preserve are also offered and start at $45. On Saturday and school holidays, Bar-B-Ranch hosts 1-day camps for children between the ages of 7 and 16. In the morning, students learn basic horseback riding skills and are given time to practice. Games and a trail ride are held in the afternoon. The price for 1-day camp is $50 plus additional money for lunch. If the stable’s horses seem a bit too imposing for little ones, parents can rent a pony for $20 an hour and guide young riders around the ranch’s 25 acres.
