Description: This free festival in early Jan is special because it takes place at the magnificent Shops at Boca Center, a sweet spot that’s filled with several of the best restaurants in town, as well as several chocolatiers, ice-cream shops, coffee shops, and a very-cool Harley-Davidson store that’ll bring out the biker in you. There’s also an interior plaza that’s a nice place to relax and watch all the people lugging around their newfound treasures. In addition, the quality of the work and the artists is always very high here. You’ll see a hundred things that’ll catch your eye. More than 150 artists from all over the country converge here, and they work in such media as paint, photography, glass, metal, sand, jewelry, wood, and clay. Each booth seems to have something different and eye-catching, and the artists are happy to take time to discuss their work. Their stories are fascinating, ranging from the I-was-born-to-be-an-artist to the I-left-everything-I-knew-just-so-I-could-follow-my-passion-for-art.
