One is that the Boca Raton Museum of Art is the finest art museum in South County, and it has a diverse collection of treasures that will please even the snobbiest Big-City art-lover. Accordingly, some of the best artists from around the country want to be in shows put on by the Boca Museum; especially this one, which is sponsored by local TV stations, major companies, large civic and arts organizations, and the National Endowment for the Arts. The second reason is that the museum—and this art show—are located in Mizner Park, Boca’s beautiful downtown urban core. It’s filled with unusual shops, as well as green spaces and fountains where you can sit and watch the people-parade. Palm Beach County’s art festivals take care not only of your artistic tastes, but also your sensory ones; booths at the fair cater to every conceivable taste for foods that can be fried, grilled, or roasted outside. Even when you’re done wandering the artists’ aisles, you’ll want to wander Mizner Park, for the treasures you’ll find in the exclusive shops and restaurants. Held in early Feb; free.
