Description: Some of America’s top craftspeople display their works at this one. And why not? There aren’t many better places to be in late Feb than in downtown Delray, where you’re surrounded by one-of-a-kind shops, bistros, and galleries, and very close to the beach. You’ll find an incredible diversity of crafts at this fair—carved, hammered, soldered, fused, cooked, painted, strung, woven, or otherwise assembled—ranging from $5 to a few thousand. There’s everything from handmade jewelry to ceramics and wall hangings, handmade oven mitts, and ceramic prongs to pull out hot oven shelves. In addition, there are also natural cosmetics and toiletries, candles made of soy, and food and produce items at the green market. The Pineapple Grove area is a special neighborhood of good restaurants and bistros, just off Atlantic Avenue, Delray’s Old-Times downtown boulevard. Held in late Feb; free.
