Description: Dolphins, seals, sea lions, 200-pound sharks, and Lolita the killer whale call this 38-acre aquarium home. There are numerous exhibits and shows featuring all of these animals to fill the day with. The Dolphin Interaction Program allows visitors of all ages to touch, feed, and play with a dolphin. The Discovery Bay Presentation allows visitors to view birds, sea turtles, and alligators in a natural mangrove environment. There’s even a Trainer for a Day program that gives novices a behind-the-scenes look at what it is like to be a marine mammal trainer. More information on the program can be found on the website. The aquarium is committed to rescue and rehabilitation of distressed animals and has released numerous dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, and whales back into the wild.
