Description: Located in the midst of downtown Indianapolis, the Crowne Plaza is housed within America’s first Union Station. Steps away from major attractions, dining, nightlife, and shopping, the hotel is connected to the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium and a block from Circle Centre Mall. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Crowne Plaza offers 273 rooms, including 26 authentic Pullman sleeper train cars resting on their original track. The Pullman train cars are named and decorated in honor of prominent personalities from the early 1900s, such as Charlie Chaplin, Louis Armstrong, and Greta Garbo. Another popular feature of the hotel is the white fiberglass ghost travelers dressed in period clothing and still lovingly haunting the premises. The Romanesque Revival–style hotel is still an active train station, which enhances its authenticity and ambience. The hotel features a restaurant and lounge, indoor swimming pool, and business center.
