Description: Located in the historic Fountain Square Theatre Building, the Fountainview Inn is on the third floor, with keyed elevator access available for guests only. One-bedroom and studio suites are individually decorated and have a king- or queen-size bed, sitting area, TV, kitchenette, and tiled bath. The inn offers free wireless Internet. Three restaurants are located on the premises, and several other restaurants are within easy walking distance.Only a mile and a half from downtown Indianapolis, Fountain Square was the first commercial historic district in Indiana. The existing buildings span more than a century of development, beginning in 1871. The Fountain Square Building opened in 1928 as a place for entertainment, shopping, and professional offices. In the late 1960s the project began to decline. In 1993 renovations began and the building now houses entertainment and events at the Fountain Square Theatre, duckpin bowling in either of two vintage alleys, three restaurants, and the Fountainview Inn.
