Description: If you’re an auto race fan as well as a golf lover, here’s your chance to enjoy a bit of both. Called the nation’s most unique links, Brickyard Crossing has golfers playing inside and outside the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s racing oval. The 18-hole championship course was designed by Pete Dye and provides one of the most unusual golfing opportunities you’ll ever experience. Holes 7, 8, 9, and 10 of the course are located within the racetrack’s infield. The remaining holes border the east side of the track. An enticing offer is the stay-and-play package. Guests get a round of golf and one night’s stay for the rate of $99 per person, based on double occupancy. That practically gives you a hotel room for 10 bucks. Greens fees are about $90, which includes a cart (usually $45). There is also a great Driving Force program that offers golfers the chance to drive a real race car, enjoy private golf lessons, and play a round. The facility includes a pro shop, restaurant, instruction facilities, banquet facilities, and driving range. The course is open mid-Mar through Nov.
