Description: A hip, eccentric place, Creation Cafe is located in a renovated church with a premium waterfront location on the north end of the Central Canal. An extensive patio offers a lovely view of the Indianapolis skyline. During the 1970s and 1980s, Buggs Temple—so named for its minister—was not only home to a church congregation but was also the site of some of the best gospel singing in Indy. Fresh local ingredients are the basis for salads, sandwiches, and soups. Menu items have creative names such as the Original Mother Clucker—marinated chicken breast on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, red onions, and pesto mayo. Or the Oinker—pulled pork smothered with sweet barbecue sauce. Plus the B Cubed—a spicy vegetarian black bean burger served on brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Creation also serves beer, wine, and liquor. Closed on Sunday, the cafe also frequently hosts local musicians.
