Description: Not far from the town of Lafitte, 30 minutes south of New Orleans, is the Barataria-Terrebonne Estuarine Complex, which contains 34 percent of the state’s marshlands and is one of the largest, most dynamic estuary systems in the United States. Capt. Robichaux or one of his trained guides leads charter groups to find some of the best redfishing and speckled trout fishing around. Charters usually leave the dock between 6 and 6:30 am, and return between 1:30 and 2:30 pm. Price includes tackle, artificial baits, gas, oil, ice, fish cleaning, and rods & reels.
