2. Tosca’S

City: Hingham, MA
Category: Restaurants
Telephone: (781) 740-0080
Address: 14 North St.
Insider Pick:

Description: Hingham is justifiably proud to have this gem in town. When it opened in 1993, Tosca was the first restaurant to bring big-city dining to the South Shore. Tosca’s creative twists on regional rustic Italian cuisine are served in a renovated 1910 market building overlooking the harbor. The dining room’s exposed brick and an open wood-fire oven and kitchen both add to the perfect date-night ambience. Order a bowl of superbly made wild boar Bolognese or the chicken under a brick with Marsala glaze and polenta. They serve dinner only and are closed Mon.
