Description: The 4 Willard brothers of Grafton were early American clockmakers renowned for their particularly fine mechanical work and for designs that were innovative for their time. Tours of the 1718 homestead include a visit to the original 1766 clock workshop with its collection of 18th-century tools and a guided walk through the main gallery rooms, which are filled with more than 80 examples of Willard clocks, including both shelf and tall (grandfather) clocks. Some are still running after more than 200 years! The museum is always closed on Mon and Tues, and Wed, too, during the winter; double-check museum days and hours before you visit.
