Description: The Buzzards Sailing School is a more than 40-year-old nonprofit instructional sailing program for people ages 8 to 18. All classes, which run from late June through mid-Aug, emphasize fun and enjoyment of the water as well as water safety and the learning of sailing skills. All groups are taught in Widgeons, 420s, and Optimist dinghies. Those who enroll for the four-week minimum or take the full eight-week program will benefit most. Four classes per week cost $140.

Description: Newly opened in the spring of 2004, Cape Cod Senior Residences at Pocasset offers both independent and assisted living. The 20 independent-living apartments include one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. All apartments include private baths and kitchenettes. A beauty parlor, exercise room, country kitchen, dining room, and general store are all located on this campus-like setting. There are 60 assisted-living studio and one-bedroom apartments.
