You will also have to take a simple vision-screening test. If you have a valid license from another state, you will not need to take either the written test or road test. After moving permanently to Massachusetts, you also have 30 days to properly register your vehicle and get a vehicle inspection. This also must be done in person at the RMV. You will simultaneously transfer the title and register the vehicle at the same time. Prior to visiting the branch, you will need to get insurance certification issued by a Massachusetts-licensed insurance company. You will also need to bring proof of title. After paying the registration fee (currently $50 for two years), you will receive your registration, plates, and decal. You’re not done yet, though. Within seven days you must also get a vehicle safety and emissions inspection (currently $29). Getting your license, insurance, registration, and inspection does takes time. Allow half a day.

Description: Since it was founded in 1954 on the campus of Williams College, this pioneering summer theater festival has attracted top talent (in 2012 Blythe Danner, Tyne Daly, and David Hyde Pierce were the festival stars) who come to this corner of the Berkshires to hone their stagecraft. Each season artistic director Jenny Gersten offers a selection of 7 wonderfully diverse productions. Recent seasons have included The Importance of Being Earnest, The Elephant Man, and the musical, Far from Heaven. The Williamstown Festival intern program is a training ground for the next generation of stage talent. A few years from now you may be able to say, “I saw [so-and-so] at Williamstown before they made the big time.”
