Description: A working llama farm, this three-room, one-suite inn is a real charmer, overlooking the very pleasant Pleasant River in the tiny village of Addison. Owned by Leon and Joan Yeaton, the home sits on 110 acres of waterfront, and there are nice trails that skirt the bay. The rooms are nicely laid out with views and with hope chests, quilts, and rocking chairs, and the suite has a kitchenette. The porch is set before some nice vistas of the tidal river, and there’s a fireplace inside to take the chill out of the late summer air. The Yeatons are quite familiar with the area and can give you good tips on exploring, from Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge to Campobello, and they welcome you to even help out with the llamas if you like. And the river is right there, just waiting for your canoe or kayak. Homey is the word—but so is value.
