Description: Backed up against the cottage community of Bayside, just south of Belfast, the Northport Golf Club is a pleasure. Established in 1916, the course has nine holes and a par 36. It is fairly wide open with midsize greens of fast bent grass. Alternate tees are available for an 18-hole outing. The clubhouse is a nice old Victorian building, in keeping with the cool Victorian cottages of Bayside, which you should check out on your way in or out. Open from mid-April through October.

Description: You can always tell when this pink Mexican restaurant just south of Belfast opens for the season—the parking lot overflows with loyal regulars who just couldn’t wait for the place to get hopping once again. You’ll find dependably good Mexican fare in this cozy place—the nachos are grande and the margaritas not small. Try the fried ice cream. Open mid-March through the end of November.
